In Loving Memory of Johnny Guffey

Johnny Guffey started his career with Buddy’s in 1972 at the original Buddy’s Bar-B-Q Restaurant. Later Johnny moved on to our catering department and commissary. Buddy wanted to showcase Johnny’s talent and the idea for our Banquet Hall was born. In 1993 Johnny became the Chief Cook and Culinary Artist for the Bearden Banquet Hall until his passing in 2016. Johnny was the heart and soul of the Bearden Banquet Hall. His love and talent for cooking authentic Southern cuisine will forever be in our memories.
